This must be the first solo tour where rock songs keep going in and out of the setlist. This was usually done with slower songs.

Above all, I really appreciate these new course of set list changes on a daily base. It means that you never can be totally sure which song is played on your very own visited show. And that is great. But you know, one gets greedy when thinking about all those great songs that must be in the pipeline...
Can't imagine that they did not rehearse So Far From The Clyde or Before Gas & T.V.
Maybe they do some general changes when they hit the continent again...

The did rehearse Clyde according to Guy, but it seems that they've decided not to play it.

I completely agree with you , I never really liked Why Aye Man that much but now I have fallen in love with it and I just can't stop listening to it especially the newer versions from this tour.Magical I must say. Let's hope it'll stay in the set for the other shows! ;)

LOL, the guy tried to bring in a Canon 7D. How naive can you be  ;D ;D
And I really wonder about the "clever wardrobe choices" to hide the camera in Milwaukee. What was he wearing? An XXXL shirt?? I want to know so I can try the same  ;D

I would make a large wager with you that the Cylde will NOT be done in Glasgow as a special one time set list change.   Your post reminds me of posts I remember reading during the STP tour that "surely" he would do Silvertown Blues when the tour got to London.  Of course, they didn't.

They did, however, play Bonaparte in France on one of the tours when it was not in the standard setlist. KTGC tour I guess.

A VERY big difference.  Bonaparte had been played DOZENS of times by his band in the past.  It wasn't on the standard setlist for that tour, but it was a standard of the band.  (It's been played on every tour) A HUGE difference from playing a new song never played or tour, wouldn't you agree?

My original challenge is still open.   Anyone want to wager whether Cylde will will done in Glasgow?  Especially if you are "sure" this should be easy money for you!

OK, back to the subject of this thread, just to contrast the Milwaukee and Chicago shows; in Chicago the band was tighter, in Milwaukee early on there were a few more screw ups (Coyote for one, I thought they were almost going to stop). At the beginning of  the show MK pointed out someone filming or something and I think threw him off a little. It seemed like the grind of so many consecutive shows were taking a toll. But they pulled it together and put on a great show. As many times as I hear R&J it always manages to get to me. Even though MK has performed it so many times I have the sense that it still gets him as well, such a vulnerable song but so cool as well ("you and me babe, how about it?").

I really felt the emotion behind GL as well, one could say it's bit sentimental but I think it's more than that ("Tell it to the bread line"). The guy is such a great writer and observer and so underappreciated. The song never really hit me this way before tonight.

At the end of SOS MK said, half to himself, "still enjoy playing that one quite a lot", we still enjoy hearing it!

The other thing that made the Milwaukee show, I think a little better than Chicago was the audience (and I'm from Chicago), the Milwaukee audience seemed a little more involved, as evidenced by the mini stage rush in the encores.

As they were leaving the stage MK gave a little sign like he was driving a motorcycle, I assume as a homage to the home of Harley Davidson.

Lastly, I was shocked they flew up and back from Chicago, the weather was horrible and it would have been a 2 hr. drive max.

In all another great show, I wasn't planning on going to Europe to catch a show this summer, but maybe?????

Hmm, are you sure? Often press can take some pictures during the first 3 songs and have to leave the building immediately after... :-X Pictures would be cool though! Don't get me wrong! ;D Of course it IS a great opportunity. ;)

I think you're just seeing the tank top, it's a Red Bull promo shirt in the original Thai (they're from Thailand), it always fun to see the confused look on people's faces when Lena wears it.

I'm well aware of that. Been to a few concerts for my newspaper already. But great pictures taken during the first three songs are better than none  ;D
And I have a ticket for the show, so they can't kick me out. What can happen, though, is that I have to hand my camera to some security guy until the end of the concert, this is what I had to do after I had taken my pictures at a Kevin Costner concert. But again, I can live with that  :)
