yup me very excited now  ;D

I'm bringing along my wife, my mum, my brother-in-law and a mate and a mate of his lol.

I only live an hour away from Brighton but don't know all the best places to go.. Brighton is nice and big though and has its fair share of quaint and modern pubs sprawled out in the area.

Fordie, I am looking forward to meet you, your family and friends too!

Haha Pottel, yeahhh that would be a nice place to meet at the beach at the opposite of the Brighton Centre!  ;D Let's have a campfire and while we all are waiting and sitting around the fire we could use somebody to play nice folks songs at his guitar, .......uuuuhh hey perhaps  Mister Knopfler would like to join us!!  :P  ::) .......Naahh people, I am dreaming, I know!  ;D

Pottel you and Marky have been in the Brighton Centre before. Do you know if there is a nice bar in the Centre where we all can meet? The venue is open at 6.00pm, but perhaps we can collect the cards earlier. Does one of you know if that is possible?

Btw also 2 friends from the USA who are posting at MKnews would love to meet all of us too!

It took a little while, but if you like to meet Val, me, our partners and other fans, then we  will be at the Brighton Centre at 5.00pm. ;D

The doors open at 6.00pm to collect the tickets. It seems that in some places in the USA and in Dublin fans were not allowed to go outside again to prevent that tickets could be sold for higher prices. So IF we are not standing outside, then you sure can find us inside the BC! LOL.....Perhaps there is also a possibility to go out and drink something after the concert! ;D

I hope to meet you all and know we will have a wonderful time

I've been to Brighton a few times for shows or with the family. Brighton can be very busy on a sunny weekend or on Bank Holidays! Parking is expensive and difficult to find a spot.
A pub to meet? What about this one: http://www.drinkinbrighton.co.uk/venue.html?&venueid=247 Called The Globe on Middle Street and just the next street from the Brighton Center...
Btw, Brighton is the 'capital' of gay people  :o
