did you by any chance tape this one?

can you shed some light on the origins of this recording??

Yes... This was from two cassettes purchased either at the Frankfurt flea market or the one in Mainz during that year, most likely during June of 1983 while I was stationed in Germany with the US Air Force. It's not the master, but a direct copy of it. I didn't tape that one. It was probably bought from the guy who taped it. So the lineage is MC ->C more than likely. I didn't buy the tapes, my then brother-in-law did. I used his tapes for the torrent. There were paper cover inserts with the tickets printed on them. It's doubtful that I have a copy of those. It was on two BASF normal-bias tapes.

I still have the torrent archived on either cdr or DVD. I ran across it a couple of weeks ago and meant to seed it again. It was torrented twice in the past on Dime.

I have several tapes from this time period which I haven't yet gotten to: Rolling Stones, John McLaughlin, and others. But aside from horribly recorded Moody Blues and Frank Zappa shows, I didn't do much personal taping during this time period.

 ;D AHa.

I am a bit confused with this Frankfurt show, because I remember reading Jeroen Van Tol's site 3-4 years ago and I think he had a different version there. Now his site says

"Fairly good sound quality. Good version of Portobello belle for example. Some songs have a bit of tape hiss. Missing the encores Telegraph road and Solid rock."

Strange, 2 songs missing, and there's no mention of OUATITW being cut. But it still might the same source.

His site also says:

   1.  INTRO
   2. Once upon a time in the west
   3. Industrial disease
   4. Expresso love
   5. Romeo and Juliet
   6. Love over gold
   7. Private investigations

So if there is intro, it may be a different source after all...
Anybody?
