Her vocal performance is astounding. I quite like the whole thing actually.

Nice to hear the words in clarity! ;-)

Having just heard Mark do this live 3 hours ago, this made me want to laugh I'm afraid.

So bad..... So bad..... Indeed it's sooooo badddddd.
I'm so sorry, but have to agree with draad. I hope nobody would even attempt to sing a cover for this song.
This is one such brilliant song of Mark which by the way is also my #1 fav, I just can't bear to hear anybody else sings it.

I think the singing is excellent, but the banjo ruins the mood.
-
Funnily enought I like the banjo but can't stand the voice.......
-
This proves one thing: Of course this lady can sing, she has a good voice indeed. Nonetheless it shows that MK has a unique way of singing that can't be copied easily. She doesn't nail it when it comes to the "sooo bad" part. I like the rendition, and it is somehow interesting that one year before MK starts the Get Lucky-tour they use a banjo - something that MK uses in 2010... So this is quite interesting in my opinion.
Like MK's version a 1000 times more of course! ;)

..... I had to turn it off after hearing "so bad" several times. It hurt my ears :disbelief
I can't sing, and I'm sure she can, but I didn't care for this rendition of the song at all.

Joan, That's just so funny. I felt exactly the same. After a while I just can't stand itanymore. It's just soooo badddd. I had to turn her off and post my comments here.

Hmmm, I like it. She doesn't have the sound of "bitterness" that the subject calls for. (at least my interpretation.) But she has a clean clear voice and that nice yodel touch of bluegrass. And the song is a good one for bluegrass style. I could listen to her more.
