Title: Premature endings
Post by: jimbobaby on June 07, 2010, 07:52:11 PM
No, not a post about my love life :o

I'm glad that the premature ending at Antwerp was not, as many have speculated, a result of pain or tiredness, but I have to say that I'd be seriously pissed if I attended a concert witrh this setlist and missed one of the highlights (PTTE) just because there was a plane to catch having sat through a support act I didn't want to see in the first place just so that the venue could sell some beers!  Sorry Guy and the gang, but Antwerp was short changed.  If you have a flight to catch then come on stage 10 minutes earlier ffs!!!!!!!  Its not rocket science.

Sorry, but it's never happened to me before. ;)

Agree with all you say though, just start earlier.

The crowd didn't agree either. Many "boos" when the lights went on. I guess most of the people were expecting Wild Theme or Piper To The End or another closing song for that matter.

I saw many people waiting and hoping the lights would go out again, but they started cleaning the stage really quickly so we knew it wasn't gonna happen anymore.

I'm wondering : why didn't they land and take off from Antwerp Airport which is only about 10 minutes away. Instead they wanted to rush from Antwerp to Brussels to take their airplane at Brussels National (about a half hour drive). They could've treated us to 2 or 3 more songs then...

Anyway, what's done is done. But something sure was missing in the end...
