Title: the soundtrack planned for 2010, any news?

Hi guys,

Somewhere I read (last year) MK was planning a new soundtrack for "some kind of movie" (don't know its name). Is there any news out there? Can't find anything... :-\

When in Madrid for the GL promotion he was asked about that and he said that the producers asked him to compose the music, and he agreed, but he wasn

Peronslly I hope the film doesn't get made and he goes into British Grove to record a full solo album instead.

Not that I don't enjoy his soundtracks, but I don't listen to them anything like as much as his "proper" albums.

If he follows the same pattern as last time we could have another album in just over a year's time!

Wasn't the working title "Homage to Catelonia"  or something like that?

Yes, "Homage to Catalonia" after the book of George Orwell. Colin Firth and Kevin Spacey were in the cast obviously back in May 2009, as a director
Hugh Hudson was named. But it seems the whole project has been shelved or dropped, because you cannot find any hint about it at imdb or at the web in general. And a movie should at least be in production before MK starts to write some music for it.
