Title: Correct chords for Hill Farmer's Blues
Post by: soldano on July 19, 2010, 03:48:13 PM
Hi there

I am looking for the correct chords for Hill Farmer's Blues. All I found on the Internet is just rubbish and totally useless.
So has anybody among you the correct chords for that song, maybe out of the official Ragpicker's Dream songbook?

I would be very glad if you could help me out.

Cheers
Didier

Intro: C and D, then at 0:40 it moves to Em.

Verses:

Em
I'm going into tow law
G            C
   For what I need
G                D
   Chain for the ripsaw
        Em
Killer for the weed

The outro and 'so bad, so bad'-stuff is the same as the intro (C major and D major), but before that, you'll play Em/D (a Em-chord with a low D). Something like:

        D
Don't do jack
                Em            Em/D
And don't wait up for me

   C      D
So bad so bad

In the live version they end in Em.

Hello Soldano and TheTimeWasWrong, welcome to AMIT! I am sure you will have a great time here by reading and writing messages!

Thank you for posting these chords!  I can't play guitar, so only "play" when I have time and when I am alone in the house. My family won't bother me then and shout that I have to stop!  ;D ..... I know these chords, so besides a few other easy songs,  I can try to play this one as well!  ;D
