You must add oeoeoe, just before sultans
A great gig, my one and only of this tour, with marvellous version of marbletown.
A few words in french, a lot of smiles from Mark and the whole band, and happy birthday to Richard from the front rows, during the band introduction.

And a strange situation on SAN : when the first row stood up a particulary guy kept shooting loud  "ASSIS ASSIS ASSIS!!!" and did as long as people were still standing even while music was performed. So to avoid a general riot, the first row finally sat down and could not stand up on any song onward, not because of silly security, but because of people that made the rule even more strict than it was meant to be. Danny showed some surprise witnessing a fully seated parterre while performing SFA. And that's how I end my Get Lucky tour...

Yes, incredible.
I was at the second row, not far from Isaac, and I had to sit back after each song on the second part of the concert...

I was to far to notice that but I can confirm that the security was absolutely stupid. Heavy control at entrance. I loved to play stealth games with them but unfortunately I had nothing really interesting to hide.  :disbelief
Strange behaviour : chasing cameras at the entrance while organizers announced that cameras were allowed.
Funny people. And they us to follow the rules ?  ;)

About the security issue there is a very good reason for this: in 2001 ther have been a riot that involved knives and PCM was informed of this issue and was then quite angry about it and told the local staff about. So security was very strict this time, even a bit too much. Obviously there had been some adjustement because I witnessed somebody having his camera confiscated despiste showing the offcial PCM statement but after some time it was then given back BEFORE the show started with an Ok to use  ;D

Too bad when heavy handed security interrupt a song to tell you to sit down and you end up missing a bit.  That happened at Glasgow to me during BIA and the security weren't very polite.  In Lucca we were ushered initially back to our seats but in the end they gave up and everyone stood up anyway!  Fans 1 - 0 Security  ;D

Mark did not tell the audience for Richard. We, "tffrf"*, did agree before the show that we would sing HB as soon as it would be Richard turn to be introduced. This only once Mark heard us singing that he greeted Richard un joyeux aniversaire.

tfsrf (the fuckin' second row fans, I was one of them) also sang happy birthday, and I confirm, Mark did not tell anything, it' s the members of the afmk (french fan-club) who prepared this.

Very nice review, thanks for that.  I've always had a thing for this venue ever since I saw the On the Night video all those years ago (and that girl the camerman kept panning in on)! ;)

The President was there too and met (briefly) Knopflerized and DS1984, as well as Isaac. My sister and brother in law came with us (my son and I) and loved it too. Full review might follow later but it was really good. The French crowds ROCK! (mexican wave, ole ole, things you never see in Scandinavia where I normally see shows).
