Title: Virus on MKNews Forum WebPage ?
Post by: joko on August 24, 2010, 05:02:00 PM
trying to log in at the MKNews Forum (http://mknewsforum.yuku.com/) my Avira AntiVir Program detects the HTML-Scriptvirus HTML/Infected.WebPage.Gen.
There are no problems reading the topics without logging in.
Can somebody confirm that ?

It looks like a false positive:

The MKNews forum (well, the yuku forum software that MKNews is running) has a script on all of its pages running from exelator.com, so that's probably it.

A bit more research reveals that exelator.com looks like a less than desirable log/advertisement/whatever website.

Probably best just not to take the risk and stay away from MK News. ;)
