Post by: sak4 on August 30, 2010, 11:44:14 AM
Here's another subject - lesser known MK music

A couple of my favourites are film scores

Wag the Dog

A Shot at Glory - really love the celtic connections

his best two filmscores imho.
even better then Local hero...
not sure which one of the two i prefer, as both are brilliant.
and on top of that, Wag the Dog was a brilliantly funny film

Wag the dog ... Another truffle dog story ?  ;D

May I suggest his best filmscore is The Princess Bride ?
I love this one so much that I refused to buy the CD during 20 years, keeping it for a special occasion.  :disbelief

According to Halliwell's Film Guide, MK's best film score work is "Last Exit to Brooklyn" because it is the only film in which he receives his name in italics (meaning a contribution of a particularly high standard).
