Hi to all,
I'm proud to talk about my little project, a new *real* dIRE sTRAITS Tribute Band that try to play that good old sound.

Irriating for me however is that Men in Why Aye Men... Because it is "Man" in its original meaning. But I think you call yourself "The Why Aye MEN",
so that's ok with me!  :D

Hi... well... the original meaning of the MK song is "Why Aye, friend" (singular) but, when we were looking for a band name, I often say to my friends "Why Aye, men!" (so "Why Aye, my friends"). We were not so sure if it's really in perfect English (anyway, "why aye" sounds like a Geordie slang) but we liked that name, so the name of the band became "Why Aye Men".

That's all... : )
