Hi all,

Hope you had a merry Xmas and a happy new year. Whilst randomly searching YouTube I came across this funny clip of backstage at a MK gig from 2008.

You need to go to the end of the video to see John miming to the end of Sultans. It's just great to see behind scene stuff like this

Yeah, John is really great doing it, it's priceless. Watched it a lot of times and laughed myself to death everytime.

He really is a great addition to the band, not only musical wise...

Saw him on TV at new year in the house band with Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain.

He's excellent isn't he. He's really got awesome stange presence IMO too. I tweeted John today and he said he was in the studio working on Bap Kennedy's new album with Mark today :) i must admit I hope Mark brings another album out sooner rather than later. Trouble with being a knopfler fan is that there's never enough stuff lol :)

I've watched the entire documentary for 08. It was good to see it again.  I was at this gig in Berkeley, CA.  What a night !!! A night that changed my life !!!

I wondered if GF made any similar documentary for Get Lucky Tour?

The mime was funny for a bit but got boring IMO.
