To all of you who didn't know: Emmylou Harris will release a new solo album on April 26. You can download the track "The Road" for free from Emmylou's webpage:

Great track indeed! Absolutely not what I had expected. Much better than everything she contributed for "All the roadrunning" album and tour. Cool deeper voice and great guitar. Any chance to find out who is in her band?

Well, after some research I can answer my own question: It was recorded with only two other musicians, with Giles Reaves (multi-instrumentalist) and producer Jay Joyce. The album contains 13 songs from which 11 were written by Emmylou herself.

Hmm, she'll be in Frankfurt June 6... I'm thinking about going. If only it wasn't on a Monday...
