Well I, (maybe a lot of other people too) may rarely post on this forum as much as we wanted to, but surely for me AMIT is one of the biggest enjoyments I have when I am at home. The topics, the discussions, the reviews and critics of concerts, the live setlist reportings, the fast news about MK and also the very interesting and warm community here are only some of the things that make this forum very special, and I look forward to reading it every single day. Just wanted to say thanks for all this great time I had for almost three years now. The Mark Knopfler experience wouldn't be the same to me without this forum. A very heartfelt thanks! Cheers!

And in return on behalf of the Editors can I say a big thank you to ALL members - a forum is only as good as it's contributers.
And a big thank you to everyone for making the Editors lives easy - you can literally count the number of incidents we have has to "moderate" on on one hand. :)

Thank you all MK fans, Dan, editors, regulars and passer by s, it is a heck of a ride. Next thing a big get together, conference (actually a chance to meet and have a jolly good time) and for the musicians of the forum to be as successful as MK and play for us all.

This place is as good as Mark's music itself. It's diverse, intelligent, entertaining, friendly and educating. It's not surprising though. MK's music has always attracted decent folks. Thanks to all involved for making it happen!

It's the active members that keep this forum alive. They deserve all the thanks. I think it's great that uber MK fans can come here and freely discuss pretty much any topic they want and not be subjected to censorship.

Yes, I agree with everything that has already been said, a BIG thank you to everyone! Life just wouldn't be the same without my daily fix of AMIT! The best forum ever!

Thanks to all for the kind words. And I think I speak for all editors when I say that we enjoy it as much as you all do.
Made a lot of friends here and it's a joy to meet a lot of members when travelling to concerts. Thanks to you all for making the MK-experience even better :)

well, no actually, the funny face meant I don't take it seriously, not that I knew what he meant. So enlighten me, why is it Bob Dylan's fault if I don't get an Oscar? I would have thought the main reason is that I don't work in the film industry but hey, what do I know?
Oh so she had to get a baby with the chauffeur.
I don't get that one either

Dear Rollergirl don't worry, I guess it was a joke put to the test, that obviously failed. It was based on loose mental - mixed meanings connections, but it must have lost any sense or meaning since the time between the posts are sometimes 48 hours (not in this case but it is more or less the same, it has to do with the original mood you are in. Any explanation on that will cost you a bunch. After all you get this one for free ??? ::) :P :-X :-\ Here hope ll these faces help you a bit. ;D) .
If you are so kind to scroll down, you will find that ds1984 ironically thanked BD. And right after you posted a lovely - jokingly little sentence thanking your ma and pa. Making the connection between them BD (having won an Oscar) and your comment which reminded me of the speeches at the Oscar ceremony, I made that comment.
tunnel 85's comment that followed right after was common yet cute, ;)
And yes, I try not to think what ds1984 means with his latest comment, because my brain hurts ( a Monty Python reference) Louis was such a natural ds1984. Good to know someone else enjoys his movies, too. ;)
By the way I'd like to that my prime minister. He is so good, everybody thinks he is out of this planet.
And the original topic was, again? :lol

Thanks for the explanation VGONIS, It all makes sense now..... NOT ;D
How much do I owe you?
-
It just goes to prove that AMIT rocks ;D
This first one was for free! Any charity is acceptable though. Reasons are obvious. ;)

Hum, obviously my joke missed the target.
Oscar is the chauffeur and is refered to be the father of the baby that the daughter of the Louis is expecting.
It was a celeb theatre play from the 60's (before becoming a film), what we call a "pi
