Thanks MB for reminding me of this song. I do have it on tape from a radio programme that I recorded some years ago. It is indeed a beautiful solo.
I also have a Waylon Jennings album called "Closing in on the Fire" on which MK plays the solo on "Be Mine". I haven't listened to it for years, so must give it a spin again sometime. :)

Yes, its a great song, its from an album of Buddy Holly songs, a tribute to Buddy from lots of artists, the album is called Not Fade Away(Remembering Buddy Holly) and Learning the game is the last track on the album, we all know Mark is a big Buddy Holly fan, and this is a lovely tribute to him, Mark plays a gorgeous slow solo, with such emotion and feeling :)

Hello, MB, thank you so much for this! I knew about this recording but never really listened to the song until today. Great sounding solo indeed! But also
a really nice little song. Will take it into my playlist for sure.
All the best,
LE

And since we are talking about Waylon, he did a rough cover version of Setting me up, on "Never could teo the Mark" ;) LP of his from 1984.
