Title: DEREK TRUCKS
Post by: shangri la 1 on September 17, 2008, 01:34:14 AM
Hi fellow AMIT'ers

I have heard some good things from folks on the MK News forum and elsewhere about this guy. The price per ticket seems low though, so I was wondering if anyone can recommend him. He played on EC's last world tour. With my job, it's our busiest time of the year so I'd only slot it in on recommendation.

Thanks in advance

PS MK and guys are crashing at mine during the festival hehehe! "I wish"

Yes, Ian, Derek is GREAT!!! Sorry I didn't think to recommend him to you earlier tonight. Certainly, hanging around the Allman Bros Band didn't do him any harm at all. Young, but terrific.

I have tickets to see / tape him in a small local theater in November. Have heard wonderful things...we'll see...

Thanks for the tips guys & gals. I guess I'll try to slot the concert in then. Lucky for me, it's a mid-week gig also which is better for my working times. I'm trying to get a few other people, who I know like a bit of guitar and blues based music to come along. They should get a surprise if they come along, because 4 of them went to see EC last time. Wonder if they'll recognise him from that concert?
