No, of course it's Holland. We are a very small country, but we had 3 concerts sold out, about 42.000 people visiting the gig. We are a concertloving little country. In Belgium there was only one gig and half of the people there were dutch ;D So I think you are wrong, my dear Pottelchairman.
You have noticed it in Berlin: the first 4 people waiting there from early afternoon: 2 dutch, 1 German and 1 Belgium.
Even in Germany we win :D :D
But you won the sprint there on flipflops so that counts as well ;D ;)

I'm told that Mark is a huge star in India. A pretty densely populated part of the planet. That gets my vote. Wonder if Mark or Richard have given the sitar a try. ???

Can't be America. I am hugely disappointed in my countrymen/women. Sometimes I think that there are only about 10 or 15 American fans, and they all post on the MK forums! I underestimate, of course, but it gets so frustrating at times hitting a brick wall, in terms of understanding/support, when talking about MK to other Americans. I know a lot of my co workers considered me slightly bananas for flying to California for a concert. ??? :-\

My own guess is Spain or many spanish speaking countries. Look at the knopfler torrent trackers ,aren't they all great spanish sites. I know about the US, it's a shame. Most people don't even who MK is, but they do know or have heard of DS. "Money for nothing "guy they call our great MK. :-[

Yes, it's sad to me that America has never been as big on MK as Australia, Spain, Italy and many other countries.
You're right, many people know who MK is if you tell them it's the DS guy.
I do know several casual MK fans around here, though, and that's somewhat encouraging.
Also encouraging was that it seemed the 2008 tour was close to being sold out in most U.S. locations. The three concerts I went to were quite full, much more than in past tours. All three were close to capacity crowds, and it seemed most other venues were similar. And the crowds were pretty appreciative.

I run two MK/DS sites and for these I can see where my visitors come from, using statistics tools like Google analytics. These sites are mainly for guitar players, but the percentage of these should be the same in all countries so it might be a valid result in general.

I would say GERMANY for a very obvious reason:
When touring in Europe, is the country who has more shows played there!!!!!
I know, in the US there are lot of more concerts, but in comparation, USA is bigger than any country in Europe, so it doesnt counts!!!! ;D

I don't know about Denmark but everybody I know here (in Sweden) has heard about him (OK, mainly by me but still ;D).
It is true that one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) capacity venues on the KTGC tour was Augustenborg Castle (I was there and I counted 14419 people ;D), for a small country like Denmark, it's quite an achievement, even if not all present were Danes (I counted at least one foreigner (me!) but didn'st stop to check passports :P)

I was there too Rollergirl ;-) the concert in Copenhagen was great, but the second one here at Augustenborg Castle was actually better. Even though an Open Air concert the sound was brilliant !!.
Anyway the seats at the Tribune B was not quite worth the money (VIP) another time we just might buy ordinary tickets as
you can get a lot closer to the stage.

I agree Peter, I was in Copenhagen too and thought the Augustenborg was better. I could not believe it when Guy wrote they were struggling with a boomy bass all evening.
From where I was (in the middle), it sounded great! We were lucky with the weather too, a beautiful summer night!

In 1992, 25000 people here went to see DS at Gentofte Stadium (brilliant torrent available), and tickets were sold so fast that MK said yes to another concert the day after which also sold 25.000 and by this broke tha national concert sales and beated Bruce Springsteens previous 38.000 visitors. ::) :D
