I don't know if it has already been mentionned:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9NltPsGZ0w&feature=player_embedded
It will probabely not change the world, but thank you very much for trying Mark !!
-
Dude, where is mrk in this?
Post it under general discussion, coz yes, it is a terrible situation down there, going on for over a year without anyone really doing anything about it, or blocking even the weakest of tries, like the bleeding Chinese and russians keep doing (heartless cold cowards) but again, do not mention mark if there is no reference whatsoever, and post it in the relevant forum.
P.s. that reporter chick was not bad looking.
-
Oops Pottel, MK is in it. Look again.
-
Yes sorry, i should have been more explicit when i introduced the video.
Mark is at about 0:45. I don't know if it's usual for him to do that kind of things..
(i think the advertising for his studio, on the computer behind him, is a little mean, but that's ok..)
-
Oh, MK is leaving his studio only for touring these days, don't you know? ;) You are received in audience when asking him for an interview etc...
it looks like a cosy place, and it means he is working on something new, so why not. Good to see him on this. And Patrick Stewart, too.

Mariella Frostrup was there too!
-
dude, why did i not see that? i started the video and only saw the usual terrible images from syria, no MK reference. will check again, my apologies.
-
i now realise i must have clicked a bit fast and saw something else....
-

The I or Y from Syria looks like a sign of his autograph. So it could be his handwriting I think...
-
Definitely Mark's handwriting...

Yeah except most of these freeloaders roaming Europe aren't refugees in the meaning of the UN convention.
And that boy's family were already established in Turkey but the dad had to go and get free Swedish dental care... :smack

If my kids had to live here after our home had been bombed, I'd do anything to improve their lives..........then I'm not like everyone else. There are 59.5 million more humans than little Aylan Kurdi and his older brother, Galip, displaced by conflicts & Wars which they had no part in starting. Many more than at the end of WWII.
Perhaps this is why Mark participated in the campaign?

This is exactly where the EU members should place their multi billion Euro financial aid instead of granting asylum and permanent residency to a very small number of those 60 million people.
It's also very easy to speak from Australia where they (rightfully, I should add) turn migrant boats around to nearby islands. If the EU countries kept the same integrity as the Aussie border control there wouldn't be people drowning in the Mediterranean Sea.

:smack Looks like you don't agree with your country for helping many of these people, and I'm ashamed of my Government for it's record of human rights abuses in the 3 prison camps where when things happen to the women and children held there, the Doctors & Nurses are threatened with prison for telling us about it.
https://undercoverinfo.wordpress.com/2015/06/01/australian-govt-threatens-doctors-with-prison-if-report-abuse-of-refugees/
Our PM & his Government may face criminal charges for their responses:-

Our PM loves to call them "ILLEGALS" - I love to call them fellow HUMAN beings. We are all different.....so It's certainly not "easy" for this Australian to speak about it.
Sweden shaming the rest of us with compassion.

People who bring war to another countries should be made responsible for taking refugees out of these countries. It's all about destabilisation. One should zoom out to see the bigger picture.
-
So many governments selling weapons to the armies in war in those countries, and now having to take the refugees caused by the wars they armed before...
It´s like divine justice, but with many innocents suffering for it.

It's not the population of a country that decides upon war but it's government. Accepting "refugees" - itself an arguable term since they are travelling thousands of miles across a dozen safe lands and don't intend going back, hence the word immigrant would be more accurate IMO - is far more complicated than just statistics. One has to take into account things like population density in different areas, different cultures being able to integrate etc. Continually accepting "refugees" into a country is a practice that cannot continue because it will not stop and other nationalities are now following. Words coming from the mouths of the likes of Merkel and Sturgeon are reckless because this is a no going back situation that could well lead to widespread unrest.
-
Agree with you DMG. Of course we have to help but it's not possible to have all the people in just a couple of countries in Western europe.

One of your best posts ever, dmg.
How I wish our European politicians would see it that way and act accordingly.
-
If the war stops, the situation will stop as well. The refugees doesn´t want to runaway from their countries. They have to.
It kind of remind me what happens during the endless war in Jugoslavia, it ended when the war stopped.
It´s humanity, to help the refugees, but it´s not the only thing to do, you have to stop the reason why they are runing away. Ilegal inmigration and people running away from wars are not the same, and are different problems, althought in both cases they are looking for a better life.
But stop a war in which you had a part, selling them the weapons... well, many governments have interest in it.
