I think it is a great honour (even for him) but it would be uncool to show it. He could have taken off the glasses, though...  8)

He never seems comfortable at these sorts of events- and he's had quite a few of them.  Embarrassment? A basic shyness? Fearful of acting uncool or appearing unhip? Who knows?

"Keep a clean nose / Watch the plain clothes" and you end up in the White House getting a high honour placed around your neck by your President.

It seems that this is another thing that he has in common with Mark. The only really relaxed event where he was not looking uncomfortable when honoured and made a real cool speech was this one:
