I was lucky enough to go. A superb night,
albeit an expensive one, but the money
did go to charity.
I went along with Pottel, Waterline Man,
Martina & Arthur Dunk.
A very intimate relaxed venue set in a posh
part of London, with Mark & his band on top form.
I remember getting very drunk!!!! Hehehe
Cheers. BBB

Drunk? I guess you were dressed in your best brown baggies and your platform soles? Yeah yeah, with Pottel and Waterline Man fooling around in the corner.... ;D

they were constantly bringing new drinks. anyone remember the drunk chick falling over a table?? lol.. great night. pete townsend stood next for a while, and exactly when i had collected myself to ask him for an autograph he moved across the room to the backstage area.

We went. too. I was less concerned but, coming from West London, I had never been inside the Hurlingham Club before, so that was interesting in itself. The "Question - Answer - Play" format made it different, anyway.
It was a pleasant show. We were side satge, the performers walking right by us to get on stage. I think we must have got a better view, albeit side on, than folks who had paid a lot more for a seat. An odd arrangement, really.

I stood right next to a seated Peter Townsend and a young lady all night. I too got a bit drunk as my wife kept giving me her glasses of wine as she was pregnant.
