Some weeks ago I saw him play with the BluesClub in London.
Was fun to see him again on stage. But no, I am not flying into London at that time.

I saw John Illsley a couple of years ago, courtesy of BBB (thanks again!).  Have to say I quite enjoyed it and his band were rather good players. 

That stretch of the river nearby can be quite nice if you get a balmy September evening in Putney.  Decent pint at the Half Moon last time I was there too, so if I didn't have my own gig that night I might well have popped along.
