According to ER a guitarist called Freddy Koella played guitar on Things Have Changed and Tangled Up in Blue in Santa Barbara - not MK! :hmm

According to ER a guitarist called Freddy Koalla played guitar on Things Have Changed and Tangled Up in Blue in Santa Barbara - not MK! :hmm
And thats because Freddy Koalla is opening for him in a double headed tour...

In this point is where I start to dont give a damm about what Bob played... Unless he decides to invite MK (his own guest in his own tour...) to play with him.
-
Pretty insulting to MK imo. He was invited by Bob to tour with him and then invites another guitarist to play the songs MK played last year! It's as though MK wasn't good enough for him! >:(
There could be another explanation, though - MK doesn't want to play with Bob this time! :-\

I can

Pretty incredible really. If he is willing to invite other people on his stage then why not Mark? Very curious thing unless it is Marks decision as has already been suggested... :-\
-
Maybe Bob invited Mark to join him on stage in Europe for some songs to hold off big parts of the audience to go home directly after Mark
-
I get the feeling that this is Krusty's revenge as MK got the better reviews and really outshone him during the Euro tour...
-
Let's think positive. Bob has agreed to invite someone on stage.
Next step .... ???
come on bob, try again
-
Well, Mark and band dont seem to be staying to watch Bob's shows,
since they have to get to the next venue ?
So I dont really see how they can be invited.
It probably needs to be set up before hand, and they would have time to do that.
It's strange to me.
You'd think that Bob should try Slow Train Coming, or Infidels tracks.... sometime...
but I am not expecting it, as those are the Born Again Christian songs, and he prob doesnt want to play those.
-
last time the band would also leave already and mark would stay behind.
-
You guys are seriously funny sometimes ;D
Last fall was wall to wall complaints about Bob playing over Mark when they shared the stage, Bob taking solos instead of Mark etc.
Now some are fuming because they aren't playing together :lol
As for Freddie, he was a regular in Bob's band for several tours in 2003 & 2004, was obviously in SB so Bob asked him up.
-
Exactly. And more importantly, it WILL happen people, B and M are close, read between the lines in last ears' diaries, the fact that the band ain't close is an entirely different matter.

Maybe it will, maybe it won't. Maybe bob has asked mk and he declined. Frankly we have no clue.
-
Freddy Koella is French and he split Dylan fans, though quite a lot would agree with Pottel.Someone even described him as the best electric guitarist since Hubert Sumlin in his heyday, referring to his "genius" on the guitar and suggesting he is the sort of electric guitarist Dylan would have liked to be. Koella left Dylan's touring band through ill-health.

I know I should be the last to talk, but please no more of this Bob inviting MK thing. :smack To tell you the truth I don't even care. :think But I try to find some news and I always stumble on this matter. ::) I think they should not play live together in a spontaneous manner, but I wouldn't say no to a well rehearsed recording with Bob only singing-and not mumbling or grunting :P - studio or live. :wave
And now tell me if these randomly used faces work. :hmm
-
Actually, I'd quite like to hear Mark cut loose in an unrehearsed, spontaneous manner, whether with Dylan, with someone else or on his own.

I'm a bit fed up too. Last years collaborations were pretty lame, underrehearsed and unfairly managed anyway.
Your emoticons are working pretty good but you've a long way to go to catch up to Fieneke! The blue one at the end looks like he has head lice! ;D
-
The blue one at the end looks like he has head lice! :hmm
This made me laugh so hard !!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are so hilarious !!! ;D
-
:hmm So you are not confused at all. It is a head rush, maybe lice. But I'm gonna get them :'(

finally someone talking sense.

Sure, this is just discussion board.
If no posts, then you get to stare at a blank screen.
Just have fun, and dont take things to seriously.
And if no tour, then not much to discuss.
It would be gee I wonder when MK will tour again.
I wish he would tour again ... etc..

Agreed.. but then again..Bob Dylan is just pure strange..he cant be read nor interprated at all..
