Finally heard a track from Privateering on UK Radio. Thought they had forgotten MK even existed. ::)
But Paul Jones played "Hot Or What" on his Rhythm and Blues Show last night ;D ;D

Here in Greece theere is not a single day without MK on the radio. But not from the new record, but usually from the DS days. The latest song I have heard was "Punish the monkey".... :hmm

I was delighted to hear Hot Or What on the blues show too, and it sounded great within the context of all the other music played on the show. Interesting thing is, since hearing the bluesier material on Mark's Privateering album, I've found myself really getting back into the whole blues genre . . . thanks MK . . I'd kind of ignored da blooz for way too long! Hot or What is such a great song, I've really grown to love the guitar touches on that track.

Knopfler isn't forgotten on UK radio. Radio 2 play quite a few, granted they are mostly DS songs with a couple of MK tracks but he's always on quite a bit. The radio station Planet Rock play a shed load of DS. I agree with the not enough new MK solo stuff. Ah well sod the British radio..... he'll still do 6 nights at The Royal Albert Hall :)

Heard Got to Have Something on late night Radio Scotland a while back.

That would be Iain Anderson's show maybe? "End the day in the company of the song writing masters of country, folk, blues, soul and rock 'n' roll."

Just wanted to report that I walked into my local Scheels store (a very large and highly popular sporting goods chain in the midwestern U.S.) today for a new water bottle. As soon as I reached the right department I heard the very familiar and distinctive guitar sounds of Redbud Tree playing through their sound system. So Privateering must be getting to the mainstream U.S. somehow. Made my day! :) :) :)

Sorry for the silly question, but is already solved the feud regarding Privateering on the US? Is the album out on stores yet?
