Not too many changes compared to Bob's 2012 tour, but on "Father and Son" he uses a sunburst Telecaster! For the last few years he only used the blonde one (e.g. on Prairie Wedding, All The Roadrunning, Setting Me Up). It doesn't look like a new one, so I guess it's one of these two (or are these guitars the same one?):

Telecaster used by David in the early days (I believe it was Mark's actually)

Telecaster used by Guy on "Boom, Like That"
What do you guys think? :)

I would think Guy just borrowed it so that he only had to worry about keyboards on tour and Mark's guitars were Glenn Saggers responsibility.
Remember on the GH tour he used the mahogany Pensa that he got around '96 to play Father and Son so I had assumed he would just have used his new one (TR one) on this song.

Not according to Ingo's great site (mine of information): http://ds.mk-guitar.com/knopfler-fender-telecaster.htm
I recall it on the 1990 Hillbillies tour too.
You're right! He used the Pensa on Two Young Lovers ;D

Did anyone ever notice that the bridge has been replaced now? In 1979 it was a replacement with 6 individual saddles (probably Schecter or Mighty Mite), on the later picture it had a vintage-style bridge again.
It is a 1967, originally bought for David, but when he left, David kept Mark's black thinline Tele, and Mark this one.

I did'nt realize that haul away was played on the national on the album, until I saw a youtube live video of this song from last week.
Then I listened again to the studio version, and indeed, it sounds like the national on the album too.
then I searched for 2011 video version, and of course he played the national too.
I didn't pay any attention to this, back in 2011, don't know why.
Sometimes you "discover" some things that have been obvious for everybody, it seems... :smack

after listen to Gator blood studio version again, I'm not sure if it is the Danelectro as I said it in another thread.
the sound is different from right now or Donegan
So, the studio version of Gator Blodd could be the white strat, like on tour.
And maybe it's not in open tuning, or maybe not the same open as e.g. CBC
It would explain why he brought this guitar on tour, instead playing the song on the danelectro like he does on CBC
