I know we are all meeting up two days after the Brighton show in London, and can't personally wait!
I am wondering as so many of us will be attending the Brighton show on the 25th that it might be nice to meet up again around 16:00-16:30 somewhere to chat and have food/beers before the show?
Any ideas for place for us to meet?
-
Excellent idea ???? anyone knows a nice place to meet?
-
How about the 'Bright Helm' in West street - It's Literally a 5 minute walk to The Brighton Centre from there...
If I remember rightly it is a huge Pub...

A neat venue is the bar of the Hotel du Vin in Ship street, v close to venue too. Quite expensive but great ambience and plenty of room.
-
hi all, can I join, and if so, when and where?
PS: anyone know where you can park a car in Brighton ?
-
Anyone for swiming before the gig? ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
There is large car park - NCP - right beside the Brighton Centre I think.
-
Thanks! Not sure about the swimming, though....brrrr.
-
Indeed... Better to stay in a warm pub having TEA ! (for me)
-
yes, tea, of course :)
which pub is it then, the helm or the ship street thingy?
-
You decide you know it I Will be there
-
I haven't been to the Wetherspoon's pub so difficult to comment. Wetherspoon's is a pub chain that makes it's money on relatively cheap alcohol, cheap and usually (imo) nasty food, and generally cheap/nasty d
-
In 2008 we ended to Buddies if I am correct (located less than 5 min at walking distance from the exhibition center).
And contrary to f..king RAH aera, it's open 24h so no worries to find somewhere to eat/drink AFTER the show...

Too bad this time I won't see you.

Maybe you meet the band there, they go to that hotels... They were at the Hotel du Vin in Newcastle and its not the first time I read that hotel name.
-
Me thinks that the 'Hotel du vin' is a very expensive place for some...... ;)

Ok, let's aim for this one, Bright Helm in West street. Meeting at 16.00-16.30.
I try to be there in time, but I also have an appointment for late lunch early dinner at JamieOliver, so I could be a little late
After the show it's indeed a good idea to go to Buddies. Not the nicest place, but open late and food for people who want to eat something

On our way over to Brighton soon, just to say that I will be wearing the latest 'green' MK tour t shirt as although I have met some of you it was over 3 years ago. See you 16:00-16:30. Steve
