finally found out i actually have footage from this show, including All Along the Whatchtower, which supposedly has MK on guitar (like on the Complete Dylan and Knopfler Bootleg) but i can now say with 100% certainty thatMK was not there, it was two othergreat guitar players who joined bob on stage there, Richard Thompson and Phil Manzanera from roxy music and recently on tour with David Gilmour.

Thank you for this news Pottel.
I have a question:
I have a friend who is a BIG fan of Bob Dylan, he even played with his band at the 60th birthday party of Bob in Minnesota.
I asked before, but perhaps there are new people reading now. Is there somebody who has pictures or even a video of that performance? ??? ::)

does your friend himself not have pictures?
will ask around.
i have a video of the australian pink floyd playing at David Gilmour's 50th birthday though, bizarre to whatch.
a bit like the illsley wedding video, but then in floyd circles.

You mean the recording from that Brothers in Mark bootleg of All along the watchtower, right ?
MK was not there, the cover notes are wrong, one of the clean guitars is Richard Thompson by the way, a great player

oops, sorry, you mentioned it yourself in your post, I could swear when I read it I only saw the first line (?), it seems the text did not load completely here, strange

Quote Pottel: "does your friend himself not have pictures?"
No he doesn't have pictures nor a video :(
A little while ago I asked him and this was his respond:
They made an official recording of the entire event. There was video and they took audio through the boards so it would probably be a good recording. I think the company who did it though was some company hired by the club - First Avenue, and I have no idea who that company was or if they are even in existence.
This was the performance:
"Million Dollar Bash" 60th birthday celebration of Bob.
StrangeCloud the name of the band.
It would be WONDERFUL if you can find something of this performance! ;D
