Last gig of the tour.. After tour hangover already there I'm afraid. Aargh.!;-D
-
It's a very expensive concert I understood. Can't remember the price for a ticket but I believe highest from the tour.
So there's a possibility that here more DS songs will be played, because it will not be a real fanshow, more rich people wanting to pay a lot for this. We will see.
-
180
-
There were cheaper tickets than that, two friends of mine are going to the show, but as minimum they paid around 100 euros
-
Come on .... Rich people can be genuine and normal fans too....! (Mark has some spare change too , he is fan of.....?) :hmm
But,I like to say thanks to Allen and Knopflerized for all the 2013 tour main pages maintaining, everybody who brought the setlists and everybody who contributed in any post or reply :clap
We one bunch of fans.............and what a lovely fans I may count myself into :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
-
Same set as yesterday probably..with minor adjustments, maybe SAN, but doubt that too..just think they would like to finish and get home with as little effort as possible :)

Or they might want to blow us all away with SOS back in the set. ;D ;D ;D
-
Maybe they dont even know who Mark Knopfler is, but sounds cool to go anyway...
-
Next spanish tour, will include Castell

So if you pay good money you will get more DS songs :disbelief :disbelief :disbelief
Guy always says they play what they want to play and not what te fans wants them to play but i am thinking of sultans tonight.....
-
That's not what I meant to say. Last year there was a charity or whatever with a good amount of DS songs. The people visiting that concert weren't real mk fans, so I think that could be the reason. Not the fact how much money they pay but the kind of audience could influence their choice of songs
-
Real or unreal Mk fans would DEF like SOS..! ;)

They still have a hangover from last night, according to Guy
-
the idea to play Sultans at the last gig of the tour on which it has been progressively ditched would be very tasteful IMHO
a nice farewell to this cultissime song

And we really had live set lists from all 70 concerts if I am not mistaken which was great and a new dimension. Thanks to all involved. I know Ingrid, Dutchessy and Pottel were doing it a big deal, but also all other members or friends that sended and posted and mailed or did whatever to make sure we all could sit in front of the pc and check what they do on stage over there in no time! AMIT rocks!

Well, one of my other favorite bands waited about two hours until almost everyone left the arena and then played one completely unreleased song for the few people that were still left. Maybe MK and band would do the same thing? If absolutely no one was left, would we ever find out about it? :)

If we could bet about Mk Setlists we could make easy money some days :lol
Concert #71 2013, 08, 01 A private show in Zaragoza for only 50 die hard DS fans, and we can guess the setlist, all songs from the first album and together with a 30 minute tunnel of love!

It was indeed a fabulous 4 months following the tour on the forum. Thanks everybody for your contributions in making this such a wonderful forum. :thumbsup :clap :clap Hope we continue to keep the fun and excitement on high gear. :wave
talking about dmg, haven't seen him post lately. Did he disappear with the winning lotttery ticket somewhere ? :) :D
-
Yes it's been wonderful following the tour, thanks to Guy and Richard's diaries and also Isaac's blogs, but also to all the people on this fantastic forum, who made it all so exciting over the last three months - especially the evening of the Lucca live broadcast, which was extra-special! Thanks a million to everyone who was involved with the live set lists too! :clap Also, it was especially nice to meet all of the fans at the concerts I attended too - lots of lovely people! :D
Last, but not least, thank you to Mark and his amazing band, not forgetting all the crew, who worked so hard in some very difficult circumstances! I feel very fortunate that I became a fan of MK & Co and proud to be a member of AMIT, which is definitely the best MK forum in the world!
Now we have to look forward to the next album, the next tour! Can't wait! :wave

It was so great to get to know you, Tunnel85, Pottel, Knopflerized, Lis, Poupystar, Dutchessy, Isaac, Jeroen,ds1984,..
Very special mention to Ingrid, you have to meet her in person to believe that such a wonderful angel can exist on this earth ! :)

Must add my thanks to everyone involved with the set lists and organisation on this wonderful forum. Following the concerts and sets as they happen and reading all the comments is the next best thing to actually being there. :clap
Oh, and Tunnel - Switzerland rocks!

I am so fortunate to have been able to be a part of this tour!! I somehow talked my amazing sister to join me in traveling to Europe to see five concerts in four countries, and it was absolutely amazing!!!!
So very glad to have met Ingrid, tunnel, Knopflerized, MOAT, Rail King, Martina, Mikel, herlock, Laurent, ds1884, Val and Colin, Isaac, Jeroen, JulianFlamend and others... Meeting all of you and watching the shows together was a true gift!!
I look forward to seeing you in the next tour, whether it be in North America, or in Europe... :wave :D :wave
-
Thanks everyone, great effort. :)
-
Thanks to all involved in putting together the set lists :clap. It makes it more bearable to live on the other side of the pond..in an area that is so apathetic towards good music.
-
In his final (very recommendable) entry of his tour blog Isaac wrote about some technical problems after "Song For Sonny Liston" and some word exchange between Mark and some "smartass" in the audience. It was not so pleasant to read, I guess Mark looked a bit arrogant here, but I wonder if this will be kept on the stick recording... It seemed there was a heavy "buzzing" first with Glen and then later Kerry was on the stage to detect the source which was found near Ian's drum kit... seemed to have been actually a real little concert break... Did anyone report about that earlier? Lots of little mistakes here and there. You are just not used to it being an MK fan (apart from Sultans) ;)

A friend of mine who was there told me about this, and other things...
- MK shouted SHUT UP to someone in the audience, they dont know why, but MK did it very rudely, and it looks like MK had second thoughts about it and laughing, asked to that person his name, like saying sorry...
- Many people left the venue after Telegraph Road, looks like some Cap Roig audience doesnt care too much for the concerts, but for the elitist ambient of the festival.
- Also some people commented that MK
-
Almost sounds like Pink Floyd animals tour in 77 when Roger spat on a fan and David left abruptly...
-
Well, he's (still) a perfectionist obviously. Maybe he was really annoyed by the increasing number of mistakes (Ianto's, buzzing, etc.). Little outbreak, or a fall-back into the times of OES tour and stuff. Fits however to the way he was leaving then - the evening maybe was spoiled for him... just a pity that it was at the last concert of a high-praised tour... Did he say the usual thank-you's to band, crew and management as usual by the way?

Yes,thanks AMIT!
Information flow is amazing, the setlist pages are stylish and easy to digest. Thank You all.
Our expectations in this day and age are a lot higher too I think.
If there was an Internet forum back in 77-85 I'm sure some folk would comment, 'why is the setlist the same every night?' ;) enjoy what life throws at us people, life is short! :)

Sounds to me like an English thought was translated almost literally into Spanish: Do you have some cooking books?
...perhaps they heard about the touring cookbooks?

To avoid confusion, for the record, my comment was an attempt at humour. Sorry for any misleading Spanish!!
My thanks to AMIT is sincere. :)

Listening to the soundboard, 8:47 of R&J, you can listen to it. There is no "Shut Up", I understand "salud" from MK, then he says "Ok what did you say, what
-
My friend who was there tells that the soundboard is edited, they deleted that part and some noises issues, Mk was talking with the desk and all that was deleted.

I doubt very much that someone in that very posh audience bother to record a show they didn't care to buy oficially... People leaving after TR, think about that kind of audience...
