Speaking about chords? Mmmmm! :D

The thing with this intro is the pedal A note. So you can play it in two ways (on the guitar):
| A Bm/A | G | So the Bm chord with the A bass

Or you can play A on 5 fret of the 1st string on all the chords:
| A Bm7/A | G9 | But it is not very comfortable thing to play on the guitar...

On the guitar you can play the melody like this:

5 5 5 3 7
2 3 0 3 0
2 4 0 0 0

But on the keyboard it sounds very different, this is the typical piano lick. Try to play the melody with harmony ( AC# - BD - GB - etc... ) while playing the A pedal. Or play with the pedal A bass.

SO! I said many words, but with little info for keyboard players. The main thing is the melody!

Top melody is:
A---- A---- A!------- G-- B-- A---- B---- G-- ------
Bottom melody is:
A---- B---- G-------- G-- G!- A---- B---- G--------

Play both at the same time, add chords with pedal bass and yo'll get the result.

I was going to post a similar reply, but Foma was faster  :clap :)

I have the alchemy sheet music, but this intro doesn't feature on the score which begins on the A riff

on he OES tour, Alan played few notes with a calypso sound, but it was exaclty the same top line, with a faster tempo and a slightly different rhythm
