??? ::) A response to one of our AMIT TV videos has raised the possibility of Knopfler & Gilmour playing together?
I hope it is not just someone pulling our leg.
It was this video:-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rtY3GkDMSQ&lc=KuX0dREBGE5LlESTo6N9hlhZ5qyvu5pwkCl_xfykqxY
Where they play together as guest on the French & Saunders show.
And this was the users response:- "Very true, Watch this space as you may soon see them both playing together..Mums the word now!!!"
So we will wait and see what eventuates..... :think :think :think Be nice it was genuine!! Album? Live Aid thing? TV?

Drugs Guru replied? Any chances it's a Marks personal youtube channel? :D
As for topic, Gilmour played even with Paul McCartney, so why not to play with MK?
-
"Why not MK?"
Because Mark shuns any 'guitar hero' status & image, which I presume is the reason he rejects performing at Crossroads shows too, even for charity.
-
Two of my guitar heroes recording together! That would be something beautiful.
Of course the best thing would be for me to have a recording session with both or just MK. Just like this man:

And on that basis why not MK with Lemmy :disbelief
Afraid I think this is a wind up. That sketch was from 1990. Surely if they were going to do something together as a result of that appearance, they would have done it by now?
Unless someone is planning a 25th anniversary reunion in 2015 :)
-
FB, we can hope at least? :) And Lemmy would be fine as well, I just can't see any common ground. Pity about Gary Moore though, passed away too young.

Love AMIT - so educating for those of us who are neither musicians nor probably even very learned 'listeners' though this one is learned enough to appreciate a genius when she hears one!
MK with Clive James is a wonderful primer in both his magic & nice-guy-ness, and the possibilities of the studio. Many thanks for posting.
