Sad news indeed, what an incredible sound The Evs had.

Bloody cigarettes. And MK's tribute to EVs still have only 600 views. Shame. As if Mark everyday puts 10-min tribute video on net. 'Good' start of the year...

Maybe the problem is that people dont know about that tribute, like me...

Its 1.33 am and I'm watching Chet Atkins and Friends from 1987 on YouTube....Chet's been gone a while, and now Phil. Brings a tear to the eye....so many who played the sweet and magical sound of simplicity are no more. We are blessed that Mark is still going strong. That's all I got to say, going back to Chet, Mark, the Evs, Willie Nelson etc for now.

The Everlys were one of my favourite artists in the 50s and they were hardly ever off my record player.  I have been trawling through YouTube since I heard of Phil's death and one thing has led to another re-discovering all of those wonderful artists that I loved so much in those days - Don Gibson, Eddie Cochrane, Bobby Darin, Del Shannon, etc etc.

Phil Everly will be sadly missed.   RIP Phil.

RIP
and I want to remind on the album he did with Mark, I think Mark played on four or five tracks. I always liked this one (don't miss the short but great solo starting at 2:40)
