I know that a topic already exists for this gig, but I am too lazy to search it.
I discovered this gig only today (I have only listened up to postcards)
very good show. lot of talking between songs. good energy, although Sultans is not the best one imho
one thing that annoys me on all 2013 sticks is the mix :
Richard is well mixed when playing on electric : on the right, like his position on stage,
but he is mixed on the LEFT when playing acoustic (e.g. on HFB)
so sometimes it's difficult to make the difference between his bouzouki/charango/tiple or whatever with John's cittern
on this gig there's something I heard for the frist time, but maybe it's becauseI didn't pay much attention before :
at the beginning of Privateering, I thought that Mark played alone (on other gigs), while here, Richard (or John ?, aaah dawmn this mix...) joins hime since the beginning, playing the picking theme.
Have you heard this on other gigs ?

No idea what you are talking about :lol :lol but isn't he introducing Privateering always with "You and me, Richard, and then everybody else, good luck?" So I would think Richard plays from the beginning?
And I think you had two times "right" whereas one of them must be "left"?
Best concert gig ever, magic night, at least most of those who attended will say so (I was!) :thumbsup

Yes LE you're right (ah ah :D) I meant on the LEFT for acoustic (post edited)
and for Privateering, I am sure I heard some gigs where Mark played alone like on studio version...maybe it was on gigs from 2011 ? :think

thanks LE
well Rennes is after RAH, but I listened again to Bucharest which is the 1st from the tour (or one among the firsts) and indeed Richard plays from the beginning, but the RAH is the first one on which I noticed it so much..... maybe a different mix :think
(on Bucharest, Richard is mixed o the right, while on RAH he is on the left, that's maybe because I noticed it)

I always heard 2 people playing (even from 2011), and I always thought it sounds an octave higher too, like a 12 string?
