this morning I was listening to Boothbay 2006, I think the first time I listen to it again since 2006, so obviously the first time I hear this version of Marbletown again, since the new versions from tours 2008-2013....
and well...strange feeling...
you are waiting for the band to come in...and it doesn't come ! :smack
I don't know if some of you made this kind of experience..
of course it's the same with many other songs that changed during years, but this one seems to has become like we know it since 2008.
you have the studio version and the live version, but... a live version like this one....sounds "strange" can't explain...
well maybe, dmg prefers this version... ;) ;D
and a little bit the same with postcards from the same gig, but to a lesser extent

Yes, dmg does prefer this version! ;D

I once had a IEM recording of this great concert. Which I had attended that night, really. Such great atmosphere and Mark being so talkative...
However, I have no idea where that recording went.. anyone has an idea where I can get that IEM recording?

I remember that a woman nicknamed something like "gbomi" on mknews forum went to this gig and recorded it
is she here on this forum ?
-
I remember that name, too.
Thanks, JF! ;)

Yes Gayle recorded and dropped a load of f bombs all the way through!
But the soundboard sounds excellent.

Gave it a listen last night (after a very long absent) and look what I found: In the set list, Romeo & Juliet was followed by Song For Sonny Liston... so it was an idea he hadn't just developed last year when dropping sultans and looking for alternatives..
