Hello everybody !
I'm on holiday on a large camping site near Venice in Italy.
This friday there is a concert of the Italian DS cover band "Over Gold".
Do any of you know them or seen them play before ?
Should I go to the concert or just put my ipod on shuffle with DS songs and stay in my tent ? ;)
Thanks for any reply, see ya later !

Hi Pensaboy, doesn't sound too bad ;)
Big accent while singing, but I like the guitar parts and the sound of the band.
I'll post a review friday after the show !

OK, show just finished and with my last wifi access I will write a small review.
Like I first noticed by the preview above, the singer has an accent while singing and the phrasing of the lyrics is also different, what makes it sound strange sometimes.
The guitar playing was pretty good, but it missed that sparkling touch of the master.
The sound of the band is very good : they make some nice different versions like a cool bass solo halfway Romeo and Juliet.
I haven't seen the complete show, but here is the setlist that I have seen and/or heard from further away.
So far away
Walk of life
Heavy fuel
The bug
Romeo and Juliet
Sultans of swing
Private Investigations
Twisting by the Pool
Lady Writer
Setting me up
Calling Elvis ( I'd looove to hear this on again the next MK tour)
Money for Nothing
--missed some songs during my children's playtime-- ;)
Tunnel of Love
Solid rock
Not bad, bjt as the forum title says, " Almost Straits", everything was almost.
Nice to see when it happens, but I would never pay to enter, that's only for the real thing !....
