Google Alerts is great stuff! (Thank you, Chairman Pottellll.)
So supposedly MK is interested in producing a cd for Shania Twain.
According to the blog, he thinks she's a great singer, which she is indeed.
The blog posts are well---I guess not everyone understands our Mark.
My favorite is "Does this guy have any music history?"
Shania fans don't realize how great MK does country, and how he can elevate her. I hope it goes through.

I'll eat my hat if this is true. :) Seriously. No doubt someone will mail Dr Fletch about this soon and he will confirm that this is total bollocks.
Incidentally I have always loved Shania's song "Don't Be Stupid"*, the others, not so much.
*The US version anyway. In the UK they released different versions of all her songs with no pedal steel and "dance beats" ::).

Shania's music is definitely not my cup of tea and I find it hard to see Mark and Shania working together on an album. I really hope it's not true!

I like Shania, and I think it would be a great music marriage. Oh well. It would be a versatile sort of thing on the man's part.

Well, the last episode of Boston Legal was on last night. At the end of last season, I told my husband that Alan and Denny were going to end up together. He snorted --like all of you guys. ;D In the last episode--they got married. Yes indeed. A marriage of convenience, money, and love. I was right!!!! So . . . . . . . . . :-* ;)

I couldn't see Mark working with Shaina, Mark is more old style country, Shania is to modern and polished for him, I like Shania fine, but I'm doubting Mark would produce an album for her, but stranger things have happened, then again, when would he find the time to do it? Well with his solo album due to be completed not long after xmas, and the release not till September, maybe it could be a summer project!!

I had another thought about this, Shania has split up with her husband, Mutt Lange, and he was also her musical colaborator, and producer, so I guess she would be looking for someone new to work with, but with Mark? i'm still not sure about that one.

PS Marie, please don't think I was having a go at you for posting this. It's out there so it's worthy of discussion and speculation. However, it just annoys me to think that some clown on the Shania Twain sat and deliberately made up this nonsense. What's the point?

C'mon Dusty, I would say that I'm er er, folically challenged :o :o- I think that its the only thing that MK 8) & I have in common ::) ::) - me being a bit more challenged than him though.

I find it very hard to believe that MK thinks Shania is a great singer. She is an average singer and a stunningly beautiful woman--whose career was immensely enhanced early on by her generous displays of her bare midsection. MK might admire the fact that Shania is a decent songwriter--that seems more likely. Can't see any truth to this tho, nor does anything that MK has said or done in recent memory lead me to believe he wants to be involved in any way with a massively successful (popular) project.
Still, I think it would be hard to say no to Shania so maybe there is some small chance.....

Shed certainly had some very successful and catchy hits, like You're Still the One, That Don't Impress Me Much etc. I don't have any idea if she wrote them though, and I guess it's ten years since they came out.
