Title: David Knopfler
Post by: superval99 on February 02, 2015, 05:29:00 PM
We have just booked to see DK at The Courthouse, Otley on 17th April.   We have never seen him perform live before and as it is only 3 miles from where we live, it seemed an opportunity not to be missed!   I really don't know much about his music at the moment and so feel quite curious and excited at the same time!   :)

If you have Spotify, all his records are there, my favourires are "Small Mercies", "Wishbones" (this have Alan Clark and Chris Rea), "The Giver" and "Ship of Dreams"

When I saw him in Spain some years ago he played "Wild West End", "Bernadette" and "Whats the matter baby", and I had a nice chat with him later.

I'm sure there will be some of his albums on sale and maybe I will be able to say hello!   :)

I wonder how stupid you should be to approach David with MK-related questions. I'd use obscene language with a person like this.

He is not so grumpy about his brother and DS anymore, actually it depends more on what you ask him. I recall someone asking him about if he will play with Mark again and his answer was "well, it
