Title: Dave Gilmour sep. 2015 tour sold out :(
Post by: herlock on March 15, 2015, 10:32:19 AM
I was not aware of this tour until Pensaboy mentionned it... To my great disappointement all dates are sold out :( You can only find second-hand tickets for prohitive prices (400-500€ !).
If somebody had a spare ticket for Orange in France, this would make my day...
Cheers

I am almost sure that more will be announced possibly in the UK and perhaps near-by countries. I know that you prefer to see him close by, but for 400-500 Euros maybe it worth going to the UK to see him

all tickets are on name basis, how can you buy a ticket for that much money? you would need to present yourself together with the seller at the point of entry?
am happy to have my ticket for Oberhausen, row 4...

Apparently he doesn't like being called Dave.

Thanks for your replies. I hope I will find a solution.
As for "Dave", I did not know... Maybe this is because Roger calls him this way ? :)

I also missed the sale - due to illness I was ordered to stay in bed.

Dave official website threatens to prevent people to enter if it appeared that ticket was resold :

"Please note that anyone purchasing a ticket from any unauthorised site or seller will not be granted admission. The restrictions on ticket sales, including named purchasers and photo ID required for entry, are designed to restrict ticket sales to genuine fans and not those seeking to profit from resale. Official outlets are: the Royal Albert Hall box office, seetickets.com, ticketmaster.co.uk, eventim.co.uk, and stargreen.com."

I guess that a small number of tix will put on sale.
At least in France this is mandatory, there is a 50 tix - or so - obligation to be sold on box office on the day of the show.

The name on the tickets is a very brave and wise move. And a genuine protection towards his fans. Hope other bands- artists follow the example.

This should be a great show, and a new album to look forward to this year. I also bet he will release a live Blu-ray of it, Mark take note ;)

he is credited as Dave on the Meddle booklet, at least on the 94 remastered CD version. Don't know if it was the case on the original LP
