I have a (sort of) bootleg (rarities collection) where MK plays a version of BIA with the Foundation Fhilharmonic Orchestra.
Does anybody knows if there are more recordings from these session?
I think there is a cd from a London Orchestra that plays Dire Straits but I can't find it , suggestions

with mark playing along???
i know of some renditions, but always without our man..
-
Pottel , how can I insert the image from the boot here ?
Can't seem to find it , stupid me :D
-
Ye Gods, Henk, will you share it? I think that the London Orchestra you refer to is London Twilight Orchestra. The Story of Dire Straits volumes 1 and 2. PM me for further discussions! :)

in the quick reply icon set there is one in the second row on the left, "insert image"

Here is the inlay from the bootleg , I see that the picture is a little to big , sorry for that.
Marie and Pottel , you both have mail .
Marie , you also have a PM, I hope it works.

I suspect that the version of BIA with The Foundation Orchestra is the one from the Montserrat Concert. I may be wrong, but some of the other songs are from that concert too! (All of the ones with the artist in red).

yep, this is Montserrat,...99% certain.
and therefore semi-official, if not totally official....
nice cover though ;D
-
So I assume this is official stuff , didn't know it. ::)
I have never had attention for Montserrat .
Maybe this topic need to be removed or not ? Don't know...
-
nono, we are all fine here :-)
it is a GREAT show though, listen to it and enjoy!
-
Yeah, Montserrat was a great show. I have the "complete" show on VHS, recorded off Sky the night after the concert, alos features some nice interviews with MK. JVT has it on his site but I need to get around to transferring it (someday).
-
dude!!! need it!!!
seriously...do the world a favor!
