Guy had some discussion in his forum about single socks that disappear in the washingmachine/dryer or somewhere in between. Where do they go?
Just a funny poll to see if you all suffer from this sockdragon.

My main problem in not that sock disappear but some hole ruins my pairs. Generally only one in the pair has hole. Why :hmm

It's because they sell it with a plastic thing to keep the socks together. If you use a scissors there is a hole, and if you don't do that there is still a hole.. Then sell them with a hole?! Oh wait..

Moth infestation?

I never wear any socks from May to September anyway (it's the Sonny Crockett in me) so I never had problems with that dragon... 8) ;D

I remember the sadly missed TV presenter/comedian Sir David Frost who used to wear odd socks. I never noticed until I was in my mid-20s! :lol

Weirdly coloured and patterned socks are strong again. So this provides a great opportunity for mating single socks!

Are there readers here who have learned how to darn socks ;D?

I have trouble pairing my children's socks. They are so small that they can hide almost everywhere. I have no problem locating mine, they have strong colors. A nice solution for losing one-having one ruined with holes, etc, is buying many pairs of the same color and style and replenishing them when lost or ruined. And a hole must be fixed at once before it gets very big. Wearing the socks for shorter periods of time and taking care of your nails can help avoiding holes!

Most important of all I think in "hole prevention" is having a good fitting and well made pair of shoes. Quality shoes in fact!

New arithmetic:
2 socks
+1 washer/dryer
==
1 sock
