Of course we need to let Mark rest after the tour, at least for a few weeks anyway. ;D
Then we are all on tender hooks. What next for our GREAT man.???????
Writing new material.?
A collaberation with........eg. Mr Gilmour ;)
A soundtrack.?
Any suggestions, ideas, or concrete info.?
I need more MK to feed my obbsession.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know this doctor...goes by "Dr. Fletch". I think he might have a cure.
But seriously, a tour/album with Gilmour is one of those things that I say will never happen. It's up there with DS and Pink Floyd reforming. ;)

In Floyd? Maybe, if the money is right and the personal conflicts just "vanish".
In the Straits? I would say no hope...but at the same time the mere idea of MK (at 59!) belting out the old Straits tunes, in large arenas, is scary. Not really something I want to envision.

I hope for a new album next year (I'm sure he has written all the songs already) and a tour, as usual in 2010. Something next year, in between would be nice, too, like he did at Hay-on-Wye! We can only hope! :P

don't think we need to hope much more then we normally do, as he seems to be in a very "toury" mood,...me thinks, no worries ;D

I miss the soundtrack work, but more of the same from Mark would keep me happy :) No complaints from me with his recent work.

While the soundtrack work/production work was interesting, you have to say that it distracted MK from his main albums. Personally I'm glad he is concentrating on his own stuff now.

Thanks :) Despite dropping plenty of hints to the boss (she who must be obeyed), I didn't. Which having religiously followed Dr. Fletch's diary looks like I missed out badly!!! :(

1) A live double CD (Autumn 2008) ;)
2) Recording the new album from January 2009 to...May 2009? :o
3) It could be released in September of the same year (as usual ;D) The album could be in folk-rock style, but less folk than rock please ;D ;D ;D Just my opinion
4) Great promo tour (what about 10 little gigs with many songs of the new album-not like KTGC promo with only 3 new songs in the set)
5) World tour in 2010, kick-off in Prague (kidding ;D ;D ;D)
6) !!!!! A live DVD (autumn 2010) !!!!!
Just ideal... ;)

Hey Val, you know me too well! ;) I can't take the risk that Mark gets a cold! He won't be able to sing and play then, besides all the sneezing can damage the strings! ;D ........He has to stay in a good condition for writing new songs!

Did you read Fletch's forum today? To the question what are you up to he replies: (paraphrasing) "bits and bobs the rest of August but come September.... stay tuned" and to the question about a new MK studio album he replies soon....

All I know is that there is "more in store", and that makes me happy. :)
But to ask Guy about it right this moment seems a little quick. Those of us on the "this" side of the pond just saw MK a few weeks ago.

Hey BBB, GF tour is such a great idea !!! :o Imagine....Guy playing his great songs in some very nice and intimate venues...I would love to see him. And I wonder if there is possibility that Inamorata would be in shops worldwide. It would be great...I wish him sucsess ;)

I just think it's great how active MK has been in the last few years. He must be very happy doing what he is doing :)

I like Dannyjun's idea very much, with one addition - an appearance on the lines of Hay-on-Wye after recording the album! That would be perfect! :P The folk-rock style would suit me too, definitely on the rockier side. :)

I would like to have a new album in the beginning of next year and a Tour after summer 2009! We all will have some time to save money and save vacation days/extra days off work, to meet each other somewhere in central Europe and for the peole in the USA a central place in the USA! .........Yeahhh I keep dreaming! ;D

I hope to have a tour in 2009 but I think it will be 2010.
And kick-off in Amsterdam would suit me for obvious reasons.
Everyone's invited again! We had a great time in Amsterdam this year.
But we have to wait some weeks! There's something coming up in september Guy says so hopefully he will publish early september! ??? ???

That's right Maarten, on flipflops you kicked my ass. Before the next tour I have to start training, so I can not only win the 100 meters in Amsterdam and Rotterdam ;-))) but also win the marathon in Berlin.
Maybe stop smoking will help for my condition as well :P

Yeah thinking about that sprint of all of you I have to laugh again! ......One moment I was standing between all of you and next second you all were gone. Then when I wanted to follow quick, I had to show my hand bag to the security! >:( Lucky I saw somebody moving at the left and started to run also ........Yeaaahh way to slow, I know :-[ but hey be prepared, next time I will be running as fast as all of you too! ;D
