Hi Sandy Lee
Welcome to the best Mark Knopfler Forum in the world!
My first advice would be to learn how to spell his name correctly. ;)
Seriously though, I think it's going to be very, very difficult to get MK to listen to your tape. I find it highly unlilkely that he will listen to unsolicited tapes. You could try sending it to his management, but realistically I think the only way he would possibly hear it was if it was recommended by a friend or something like that.

Dusty, will you please do Mr. Sandy Lee a favor to pass the tape to MK? ;)

Haha Allen, if Dusty ask MK everything is possible ;D ;D ;D
I totally agree with Dusty. But I would see it even harder: no chance MK will listen to a tape at all unless his management or a friend would ask him to do so. And we know that all of them try not to bother MK with stuff like this, fanmail etc.
So the best thing to do is to try to make your songs available in the shops, hopefully get into the charts and maybe one of MK's friends will listen to it and if they think it's worth it ask MK to listen to it.
By the way, I think I repeat some rules but always good to know:
MK likes to have a lot of privacy, we respect MK's privacy very much. If one of us knows where he lives it will not be published. Just to be sure of what you can expect here.
We like his music very much and I think I speak for most (maybe all) of us: we don't care what food he likes best, or what dog is his favorite or ..... or ..... or ..... Music is the link, excitement about new albums, new tours. Also concerns when he had his motoraccident, share our bootlegs for free etcetera.
No offence meant but good to know I think.
