"...Mark was still taking stuff out of the arrangements and trying to improve them. After 90 gigs! ‘Hey, what about if we …’ That’s what keeps you on fire.”: Hey, what about if we restablished the first guitar solo in TR ? :D

Or practicing new/not played for a while songs.
Seems like too much patting each other on the back going on in the band for anyone to even think they're anything but perfection personified. It's about time there was someone in the band to give the guys a reality check from time to time.

dmg, I know you are serious, but the way you put it made me laugh. To joke a bit more.
Being too sure for yourself as a pro-musician has positive effects and negative ones. The positive one is that you play with confidence. The negative is being wrong about your confidence. :wave

A great read! :thumbsup
As though a whiff of fresh air...

I'm not saying that anyone of them isn't being honest, but you don't bite the hand that treats you to employment, world tours, private-jet traveling and five-star living. I'm also pretty sure that Mark pays them generously simply because he wants them. Money is no issue.

I don't remember MK to be known to pay a lot. Actually I think that there are only a limited number of high profile musician that can ask lot of $ for touring. The economic reality for most of player on demand is to earn their own life. On the other hand, as Richard pointed out is that Mark is touring and recording quite a lot and thus employs them a good bunch of time for nearly 20 years now.
