Or maybe not. (After all Sweden is a dictatorial communist regime - no elections.)
Anyways ...
How about a collaboration with the two? Obviously, Mark has his folk thing and David his darker, more mysterious thing going, but what if they met halfway? I could definitely hear David on songs such as Kingdom of Gold, Hillfarmers Blues, etc. I don't know David's material well enough to know where Mark would fit in.
Do you think it could work?
Imagine a joint Knopfler/Gilmour tour. Hooah!

I too would love to hear them on each other'songs.
David would be awesome on BIA and Mark would be great on comfortably numb. They could joke on stage about their common point, both having made a song to bash money but that made then rich :) Mark could play on Money and David on MFN...
This is not going to happen, though. Although I'm quite sure they respect each other a lot and may even be friends, you just can't have two alpha males on a stage...

^ MK and Eric Clapton? ;D

Apart from Sweden being a monarchy and the parliamentary democracy in Sweden is led by the Prime Minister... you sir, are 100% correct! :clap
Too bad we are three more years away from the next elections. The situation is nothing short of this |-| close to civil war.
Luckily there's a eight party coming on strong! ;D
But it will be all in vain if these coming three years will keep on rolling and tumbling towards the bottom.
One badly beaten drumstick from Ianto would do a better job than the current regime.
Rant over.

I deeply respect and admire the swedish idea of creating a "Folkhemmet" (social welfare state) for the inhabitants, the deeply rooted culture of equality of the genders and the "lagom" attitude. In these days it seems very uncommon for a government to care for their nation and its people properly. Sadly, I'm not informed about the current state of Swedish politics, but I'm inclined to think that it is comparable to other European countries. One could almost think of a hidden agenda?

(PS I was only joking ...)

No thanks to a collaberation!!
I have been listening intently to 'Rattle that Lock' and am now at the point where I want to 'Rattle that Lock' to get out!!
Good album but it's just not MK....

Don't worry, I don't think anyone thought anything else ;)
I'd love to hear them play together too, but I guess it's highly unlikely. I think they share the same passion for the Stratocaster though, so that at least is some common ground.
