Don't see anything on MK News. First I've heard of this.
-
I just ordered it. Will see what MK plays or not. Chet Atkins is worthy enough to buy it. International shipment $ 6, CD $ 15, so total $ 21.
-
I've written to John McClellan
He answered my question:
"Jose,
Mark plays on the final track in the grand finale with all Chet's friends.
John
Sent from my iPhone"
Wow!! This collaboration is unprecedented, no official media had announced

Nice to hear Mark play such a complex and cool solo so recently :) !
-
Oh I like Mark's playing, it's not exactly what he plays regularly
-
This is the reply I got:
'Peter,
"Mark's solo is on the title track, along with many of Chet's other friends. Hopefully this is helpful? Was this a question among Mark fans? You are the fourth person to inquire today? "
-
on the youtube vid it shows many players, in order of solo playing. sso it is not all mark, right?
-
ordered.

It starts at about 05:34.

At 4:29 it's chicken picking with a pick/plectrum. Too snappy on the attack for being MK.
However! On the YouTube link it actually says "Here is the contributing running order of solos played ..."
Case closed ;D

agree with BR
and I guess the list is in the order of players, so Mark is indeed at 5:34 followed by John McClellan and Ray Flacke for the outro and then Richard Smith speaking
-
wow nice playing! and you recognise that its MK just with the very first few notes of that solo! Love it

Yup, I agree! He used some of the trademark bits he used to play with the Notting Hillbillies/Chet Atkins. Cool to hear again :clap

Hello my dear friends, does any one have the song in wich Mark´s plays in this album?if so can some of you have the kindness to send me in private mail?many many thanks!! :) :)

I am far from having knowledge of these things but to me it sounds like Mark echoeing or quoting his own solo from Yakety Axe don't you think? At least I detect a certain resemblance...

Somehow I have the feeling this is fake. And that it is a bootleg CD with existing recordings from the past. :hmm

100% not fake, but overall a pretty strange idea, I mean this track where all the people plays the same 3 chords.
I mean it goes to nowhere, there's no words, no nothing, just a bunch of guitar players showing off. I don't get it.
