In the Netherlands is a development about hiphop music. (http://3voor12.vpro.nl/nieuws/2016/Januari/Hiphop-in-Hillywood-een-jaar-later.html) There has been now published an in dept article. They say it is more then a diffrent of age. They also say it's about black and white. I think a very violent conclusion. But the discussion is also about old and outdated sales models of music industry.
We all know that MK does everything his own way and has a lack of commercial things and lifting with other aritsts. Although I think the discussion is going closer to us now, and also to PCM in the first place and then to MK as a musician.
How do we know MK thinks about new music and new developments? Can we maybe ask him a question about it?
For me MK is a neutralizer in world wide music tensions and angers. Maybe MK can achieve a father rol and gives his opinion about it.

Every generation will have its own music, music will always evolve and revolve :). I do have the feeling though that today music is a lot more focused on commercial side rather than artistic side, or maybe I am just getting old.
As for Mark opinion, he makes himself very clear through his own work and how he creates it. I don't think we need any statement or things like that from him. Mark can express himself a lot better through his music rather than interviews, although I find his interviews refreshing and thoughtful and inspirational :).
Thing is, how much passion does one put in his creation, that will largely define the longevity of the work. Mark during all his career has shown how much he cares about his music, in my opinion. He is the main producer of almost all his work, keeping others away from decisions of how the music should be and how it should be produced. There have been lot of examples of how he didn't let anyone from outside interfere with it. There is a lot to bring in this discussion, but I rather stop it here, anyone is right about tastes and art and anyone makes his own decision on what to follow and how to create.
