Title: Dire Straits are back ! (and finally not :( )

Hey, don't know if this is the right place, but a national french radio just confirmed that Dire Straits will be headlining the 'Foire de Châlons' in France on August 26th !!! How cool is that ! Now I just have to get a ticket...

I also read this in the press, but I think it is utter rubbish.
To reform Dire Straits you would need, at the very least, the last 4 members - Mark, John, Alan and Guy.
Ok for Mark to play with John (his friend) and Guy (has always been there), but may I be hanged if Mark is playing again with Alan. I think Mark would rather play with Donald Trump than with Alan Clark after writing TOTT !
Let alone the fact that Mark has not shown any interest for DS in the last quarter of century, which makes this very doubtful.
Are they mixing this with a tribute band ??

It's probably DSL!   They intend to do an international tour this year.

I don't know, Zegut (animator on the french radio RTL2) is usually reliable, and this was confirmed by the organiseur here http://www.lunion.fr/667607/article/2016-02-22/dire-straits-un-mythe-a-la-70e-edition-de-la-foire-de-chalons

but I admit it's a bit strange, since the 'Foire de Châlons' isn't very well known in France too
