Why in the OES Tour, on Sultans of swing Chris Whitten down with the musicians and plays other drums?

Just to recreate the 4 piece band that DS was when Sultans came out. at least during the beguining, after the break, the rest of musicians start to play and they turn into the big band version with keyboards, sax etc
