You are an annoying little idiot, obviously...

If you really are 14 it is about damn time you learn something that's not related to "generation free".

Mike Oldfield published this book in the early 80's. Not too far from the release of BIA. It's a fairly large book around 200 pages, something like that. It's very hard to find these days and the copies on Ebay aren't exactly cheap.

Do you really think that this book is available in PDF or that someone copied 200 pages into such a file? Hell no!

I have the book, and I freaking LOVE it! All these cool photos and amazing stories. Just a great thing to have!

But it is far from out of reach, it'll come to you eventually. It took me years of patience to find and when I did I was lucky to buy it from an Ebay seller that was unaware of the current estimate.

Don't just expect people to send you stuff for free, for us among here that know the value of patience and money it's really offensive. In this case you would have an easier challenge of finding a live pink elephant, named Mark.

If someone sends you free stuff it's because you've collected enough karma over the years so that you can deserve it.

*Sigh*...

Hey look...

Today there are two examples out on Ebay selling at around $30. One in the US and one in Australia. Go get them!

I first had the book confused with Myles Palmer's book. But none the less, the principles are the same.

Besides the points made it will eventually be ready online in .pdf the day someone decides to make an online backup of the very good book. Or the publisher will begin selling as .pdf which would be great.

Border reiver, calling someone an "annoying little idiot" is clearly in breach of the rules we have in place here, namely that we be nice to each other.

Please don't insult fellow members again.

Sure thing officer. But since every editor/moderator seems to be either asleep or looking the other way whenever Terry82 is running wild with his constant begging and spamming someone has to intervene. Please do look after other violations to keep things consistent.

Also, thank you for acknowledging my help for Terry82 to be able to buy a copy of the mentioned rare book.

Nobody told him to stop asking for free PDF copies of copyrighted material that can be bought online in book format...

We could have a debate about the moral issues around downloading a book that has been out of print for 30 years but that isn't the point. The point is that there was no need to throw around personal insults.

Every now and then someone will come on and ask for a copy of something copyrighted, a b side or something. Not legal, but they don't get called idiots like this young fellow.

Please just report any post you consider to be in breach of our guidelines rather than dishing out insults. :)

He also asked for a free PDF version of my book, which is not out of print.

By the way even a book is out of print is quite easy to find it second hand.

Yes, it's a moral thing, but when you read someone is repeatedly asking for free copies of copyrighted material it gets annoying, I understand Border driver reaction.

In Britain, there is a word for this type of reaction - it's called "whataboutery". It's when someone reacts to criticism of their own behaviour by saying "What about when they did this?".

Again, if you are unhappy with anything anybody posts, report it, don't resort to childish name calling.

Not that I support insulting other people, but I understand that after a repeated annoying behaviour someone would react like that.

It's not the same to ask for a bside that asking for all that is published in individual posts. I can send a bside  when someone asks politely, but I won't when someone ask for two books that are available in internet but want them for free instead, telling that what he wants is not paying for it, he wants it for free...

Anyway...

I think that in any time all of us (including me) were "broke" the rules in any circunstance..
So, keep calm and talk with property

No problem, there is loads of copyrighted material for you to ask for free, but keep doing it creating individual threads, that will make it funnier.

In the meantime we will keep "wasting" money in copyrighted material of our musical hero instead of asking to get all of it for free.

A thief believes everybody steals...

I think I'd used the block user utility once or twice as the most. I'm gonna using it again. Good luck begging for free copyrighted material in the future.

A forum is a place that should be joined in because of the same interests, obessions. People are there to share Information, news, feelings, emotions, discuss things and, yes, also share stuff like recordings etc. Within the rules. It should not be the only reason to join in a forum to get as much stuff as possible and for free in no time. The reactions here are therefore very understandable. Think of a forum as a form of small society, a society you yourself would want to live in. Calling everyone "my friend" and ask for more and more might not be very helpful when you are new to this society.

You are right, but the problem is the "bitterness way" that responds to me in many situations.

If you refers to my expression..
I want to say that in many opportunities i want to ask some thing of any thing related to MK, DS and many user answers me "USE GOOGLE" and that answer sincerely hurts me.
I think that case is lack of solidarity

don't pay attention to it. ignore. it was a mistake. the user said he was sorry.
do not think about it. keep asking (for NON-OFFICIAL stuff). we are here for you.

I apologized for what I said. But lack of solidarity? Staying up in the middle of the night to post the set list when His Markness is on tour isn't really what I call lack of solidarity, to give an example. You can ask anything you want of course. But there already is a lot of information on the forum! So maybe you can search something first when it's posted. I've experienced it myself too, when I became a member. Although the forum wasn't as big as it is now. Probably English isn't your mother tongue but I honestly think it all depends on how you communicate your questions and responds. And I agree with Pottel, don't refrain from asking a question, it's a lovely hobby;-)
