Title: Dire Straits to Reform to Play With Michael Jackson!

Some amazing news!

A friend of mine works on the NME and has just emailed me to let me know about an exclusive story that they are about to publish.

PCM and MK have done a deal this week to reform Dire Straits in the summer to support Michael Jackson on his comeback gigs at the 02 arena in London.

This has been done for two reasons, firstly to celebrate MK's 60th birthday later this year and also because MK is such a huge fan on Jacko's work.

The plan is for DS to play a "Greatest Hits" set of about 40 minutes, then MK will join Michael later in the show to play guitar on some of his rockier tracks like "Beat It", "Black or White" and "Ben".

I don't know about you guys but I can't wait for the opportunity to see two of the greatest musical acts of all time together, what a treat.

That is really amazing, but if it is true I am of two minds about it.    For Mark's 60th, perhaps, but not with MJ!  :-\    Especially with MJ!!   :o

Great news, indeed.  Proshot taping will be taken, too, I'm afraid.  London, the date, please, I want to go there to see DS and MJ!!!!!!

I'll be there! This is a dream come true! I have heard they have already starting the rehearsals and that Mike is teaching Mark how to do the moon-walk.  8)

Yes, Allen, just in case you didn't realise, on April 1st we play jokes on each other, so this was a joke.

DS aren't really reforming I'm afraid.  :)
