Just checked out Guy's twitter page. Not sure I want to be a twitt (some may say I am already one ;D). I'd feel like a stalker. Of course, people only write what they want to share on it but still, this idea of "following" people (especially well known people) like that makes me feel uncomfortable...
I know Arthur is a twitt, anybody else on the forum? What do you think of it?

Hi,
I know nothing about twitter except what I read on guy's page.....so I tried to sign up out of curiosity and still don't know if I did or not.
oh well........marjorie jane

not me.
enough other means of communication to keep me busy for the moment.

I've been on Twitter a few weeks now and right now I think it's rubbish. Have "followed" Guy since I started and I do wonder why he wants to be followed and also why I follow! I agree with that clever girl Nat - it's all a bit strange really. I think I may take myself off of it - what will that make me - a twat?

Facebook works well for me--not for celebrity contact, but for quick and fun communication with people I know. MySpace just didn't do it for me. Boring and dangerous. Twitter seems, as you say, a bit stalk-y. I think there are other uses though, if like to sit at the tv and interact with the program that's on. Hmmm, I think I'll go there now. . . . ;)

I have no idea what 'twitter' is although I've been hearing about it quite a lot lately. What does that make me? A nit-wit?? ???

Their advertising slogan should be "If you thought Facebook was a waste of time, now try this."
-
I went to Facebook, invited by someone of you and I like it so much. If you all go to Twitter, I'll follow you my friends, because I would wish to associate with you. But it is getting more and more complacated to be on so many places. I think it's a kind of rivalry between the companies and we all are victims of that. Still don't know where to stay...because I am on myspace, facebook, bebo, hi5...and it is already too much for me... ;D ;D ;D

Glad I am not the only one finding all this a bit strange! Come to think of it, it's the same thing as facebook but the term "following" people, rather than be "friends" with them is a bit creepy. On facebook you can choose who you are "friends" with, on twit, anybody can "follow" you... strange. Too strange for me anyway, I'll stay clear of it.

Nat, I'm not sure you got my thoughts correct.
-
I don't know Slavi, I thought I had. I was not replying to you in particular in my last comment.

Can't be arsed with Twitter. I already spend too much time farting about on the intermeweb. Seems I've spent more than three days of my life on this site alone!
-
Dusty, I feel the same as you! I noticed with horror that I have spent nearly 9 days on this site! :o It could be due, of course to the fact that I forget it's on and then mow the lawn, go for a walk, make the dinner, etc.! At least that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! ;D

All your comments make me laugh! ;D
Because a few friends asked me to join at Facebook, I became curious and became a member a few weeks ago. I have been looking around a few times, BUT........I still don't know how it works and just like everybody I am tooooooo buuuuuusy to visit there every day!
Besides the forum at my site at internet radio station Audiocandy.com and the site of a friend I joined since 2003, I hardly have time for this site MKnews or read at Guy's forum! I even sometimes don't have time to respond mails. It's terrible and I miss you all, but I have to make choices.
So no Twitter, Facebook or other sites like that for me! ;D

Haven't contributed here yet, but now I think I throw in my thoughts. I'm taking Twitter to the next level...yes, you got me right. Just testing a beta version...
We are living in the digital age and Twitter is a digital instrument. The founders of the service will tell you a tweet is there to answer the question
