Title: MK vs. Online Ticket Touts
Post by: quizzaciously on March 20, 2017, 08:56:00 PM
Start of the quote.

Ever since the earliest days of Dire Straits, Mark has always tried to ensure that his tickets were fairly priced and ended up in the hands of genuine fans, rather than being scalped, touted or appearing on the secondary market. Over the last fifteen years the best seats in the house for a Mark Knopfler show have almost been exclusively accessed by his most ardent fans who have paid a reasonable price for their tickets.

Any artist who chooses to try and avoid the secondary market can do so. It involves time, effort and cooperation from promoters and venues but it can be done. It also involves the artist not being seduced by the additional cash that will be offered by accessing the secondary ticketing market.

FanFair Alliance has today published a new online guide offering audiences Ten Tips to successfully navigate the ticket buying process, and to reduce the risk of being ripped off by touts. This includes key information about authorised ticket sellers, about the importance of research – do not trust search engine results! – and greater awareness of the marketing practices employed by the so-called secondary ticketing websites.

The FanFair Alliance Guide offers common sense advice to ticket buyers and the more widely it is adopted, the better it will be for fans and performers. Nobody wants the front ten rows of their event to be full of super rich consumers who may or may not actually be into the music as opposed to just attending the event – MK

End of the quote.

MK Strat was made for work, and MK Gibson for collectors. This can be understood by the total numbers of made guitars.
Everything is normal.
